Porthkerry Plod
The first Porthkerry Plod took place in April 2006and has become just as successful and respected as the Cosmeston Relays. In it's 6th year, is a 5 mile traffic free race, held entirely within the Porthkerry Country Park near Barry, with stunning views across the Bristol Channel and Glamorganshire Heritage Coast. Despite its name suggesting otherwise, the Plod is in fact a very challenging event for all levels of runners. This event has established itself as a popular fixture on the local sporting calander.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Penarth & Dinas Runners nominated charities for 2011, JAM Fund and MIND.
The 2011 race was on Sunday 8th May.
