Cosmeston Relays 2013 entry form here

We are celebrating our first 25 years as a club!

We were formed following a letter to the Penarth Times on 28th April 1988 and enthusiastic responses that set feet in motion, so that on Monday 23rd May 1988 a group was able to set out from Cogan Leisure centre for the first time.  We have not looked back since.

We are still an enthusiastic group and welcome runners of all abilities. We meet every Monday evening, 7pm at Cogan Leisure Centre in Penarth (Vale of Glamorgan), although during the summer months (from 13th May) we move to the lovely settings of Cosmeston Lakes Country Park on the outskirts of Penarth.

Our sessions are varied to suit all running tastes and to help our members to improve.  We also organise a range of social events such as our legendary Xmas parties, ceilidhs and skittles evenings.  On the serious side, we organise 2 races each year where the bulk of the proceeds go to charity. The Cosmeston Relays has run over 20 years and the first Porthkerry Five is establishing itself as a testing off road race.

If you are thinking about joining a running club please come and try us out. There's no obligation to join and, because we have members of all abilities, you can be sure of finding a group to run (and talk!) with.  See membership form here.
